Hubei Yihua (000422) recently announced that it received a notice from its subsidiary, Inner Mongolia Erdos United Chemical, that the company will shut down its 520kt/a ammonia unit and 1,040kt/a urea unit since December 7, 2020 due to limited natural gas supply in winter.

United Chemical estimated that this temporary shutdown will cause a decrease of revenue by 163.36 million yuan in 2020, and the net profit attributable to the parent company owners will also decrease by about 12 million yuan. Hubei Yihua will try to coordinate natural supply and make United Chemical resume production as soon as possible.
